The Call of Cthulhu (for beginning readers)Howdy friends,
There has been an exciting development!
A couple of months ago, the folks at Chaosium Inc. [ http://www.chaosium.com/ ], the publishers of the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game, confirmed their desire to publish The Call of Cthulhu (for beginning readers). When I received word I immediately began revising the now almost two-year-old text and illustrations to ensure that the print version is of the highest possible quality. I am currently about a third of the way through this process, and thought it would be good time to let you all know that the oft-requested dead tree edition of this story looks like it is actually becoming a reality.
I continue to be grateful for the encouragement of the folks around here, and I look forward to updating you all with any further news as it arrives.
In the meantime, I'm posting up the pages of The Statement of Randolph Carter (for beginning readers) I was working on when the word came through from Ch
Some dude stealing my art and selling stuff!Howdy friends!
Thanks to the many people who have taken the time to check out my art over the past few weeks, and especially everyone who dropped a comment - it is always very much appreciated.
Earlier today I noticed that a lot of people were stopping by to take a look at this:
I wasn't sure where the traffic was coming from, but was happy to have it.
I later discovered that BuzzFeed had posted an article featuring 25 pieces of good Dexter fan art:
I figured that the article must have been the source of the traffic. When I took a closer look, I realised that although one of my illustrations had made the list, it appeared slightly odd, had someone else's signature in the corner, and had been credited to Etsy. Now, I know I haven't put anything up on Etsy, so with my curiosity piqued, I swung by to take a look:

Just so's it's clear: This dude David
Made it!Howdy friends!
Eight months after it was originally begun, _H.P. Lovecraft's The Tomb (for beginning readers)_ has reached its conclusion, and we must bid a fond farewell to young Jervas Dudley. To those of you who stuck it out with me, thanks for your patience. Thanks also to io9 for once again letting the internets know what was going on over here.
I'm getting all excited about Dagon now. After a year of the same illustration style, I'm looking forward to trying out something new. If I could change your mind, I'd really love to break your heart.
Take care of yourselves, and be excellent to each other.
Returning to The Tomb.Howdy.
You may have noticed that I have finally come back to H.P.Lovecraft's The Tomb. After many months of uncertainty I think I've finally rekindled the desire to get this done (a small voice in the back of my mind constantly reminding me, "Finish it - Dagon is next!" probably had something to do with it). Thanks for your patience, one and all!
Anyways, I finished writing the rhymes a few weeks ago, and have been working on the illustrations to bring us back to the place where we left off last time. These are now up, and I'm hoping (not promising) to complete a page every other day. Of course, sometimes these things encounter some difficulty in making it from the mind to the page, so don't be too disappointed if some take a little longer than others.
With the rhymes done, however, I am happy to report that I am expecting H.P.Lovecraft's The Tomb (for beginning readers) to conclude with page 60.
Take care of yourselves, and be excellent to e
The circle is now complete...Whew. The revisions for TCoC (for beginning readers) are now done. I thank you all for your patience while you had to sit through the same thing, but over again. As always, your words of encouragement dragged me through it, and ensured that I would get it finished.
Highlights for me during the last couple of months have included getting a mention on Kevin Smith's podcast, being tweeted by Mark Hamill, and having a chance to explain the process of creating TCoC on GeekDad. As you can imagine, it has all been very exciting.
With any luck, you'll get to see what's up next very soon. I am, right at this very moment, working on the cover image for the next adaptation. I don't want to spoil what it is - but you won't have to wait very long.
As you may have noticed, my holidays are over and I have now returned to the front of a classroom, which means that time between posts has once again expanded - sorry about that
Where is we at?So, the Call of Cthulhu (for beginning readers) made it to the promised page 50. Thanks to everyone who faved and commented and generally made me feel awesome about what I was doing.
During the production of these "first 50"(as I like to call them) I received a number of offers from folks who would like to publish it for you all, and I'm hopeful that one of these offers is going to work out. If it doesn't work out, I'll start looking down different avenues so that folks can eventually get their hands on the dead tree edition that so many have asked for.
In the meantime I've been revising many of the pages, with a particular attention being given to the early stuff where both art and anapestic tetrameter are being given a facelift. Another thing that I'm doing with the revisions is changing all of the single pages into double page spreads so that the whole thing can breathe and get closer in line with the way the great Theodor Geisel might have done it.&
Ia! Ia! Vinz Clortho! Ia!News reports that "The Call of Cthulhu (for beginning readers)" has concluded are premature. I'm expecting it to end on page 50.
"There Goes A Gozerian, Ghostbuster!" was just a little something to clear my mind before the home stretch.
That is not dead...I have started uploading the first revisions of some of the Call of Cthulhu pages.
New pages are still forthcoming.
Be gentle with me.
Prints, prints, prints...Howdy all.
There has been a significant number of requests for prints of some the stuff I have up on here.
I'll try to make these available to you as soon as possible by uploading some higher-res files (and figuring out how the whole prints thang works 'round these parts) when I get a spare second.
Please forgive any delays - the Call of Cthulhu is taking up almost every spare minute I have at the moment. I even hear it in my sleep... sounds something like... "fhtagn".
Allow me to once again offer all y'all my sincerest thanks for your encouragement, praise, and advice. I can feel the love in the room - and the love feels good.
Be excellent to each other.

The 'FNAF Sister Location' Anti-Hate RantOK, so everyone should have seen Scott's new teaser by now.
I was not going to write about this originally (so forgive me for rushing this journal), since I figured that literally everyone knows about the news by now, but the way people are announcing it and reacting to it disturbs me. I thought we were better than this, but I guess not.
Literally everywhere I go today, everyone I've seen is spamming memes like and saying that Scott is milking the series and beating a dead horse. Even people who have "left" the FNAF fandom and have decided to pop back in just to put in their discouraging, even hating, opinions. It's so bad, that I feel people are hating JUST because it has become cool to hate, as some kind of herd mentality.
Well guess what? It doesn't matter what anyone thinks! Scott is clearly going to do what Scott is going to do! The amount of hate th
Updates as of October2009: Missing Halloween's story was created. Discontinued.
2010: Attempted to rework in 3D. Failed. Discontinued.
2013: Revived and started the animation production. Didn't reach Halloween. Hiatus.
2014: Resumed and held a contest. Didn't reach Halloween. Hiatus.
2015: Resumed. Missing Halloween didn't miss Halloween!
For the past month, me and Negyek were hard at work, day and night, to finish Missing Halloween. Later on, Procrastacat and VenBright were hired to give various voices for the ending scene. All of these are, of course, paid jobs, thanks to my Patreon supporters.
By November 29, the animation is officially done. All 8+ minutes of it.
Number Days Sim Date infoEDIT: The game is available to play now. Hope you enjoy! C:
All right. I hibernated for the rest of the summer. Now it's time to get back into action.
My college experience so far and the people I've gotten to know within the past couple of months have given me some good inspiration.
Texting Days Sim Date*cough* I mean *cough* Number Days Sim Date.
But don't be fooled. I promise you, there is very little to no math involved in this game… So why does this dating simulation have a weird title? Read on!
(And yes, you can date the chick. If you're grossed out by this option or if you're just simply a straight girl with no desire to explore, you can avoid all the romantic situations by ignoring her… this also applies to any dudes that gross you out.)
EDIT: I finally have a release date for Number Days! Well… more like "release month"... but...
Release date: December 2012
