Was "Supercargo" the best word choice? "Quartermaster" is clearer and fits the meter.

The emphasis on "SU-per-car-GO" feels a bit off. I am confused by the sentence structure of "…though the Great War was raging, the law still applied, In a stretch of Pacific…"

Hmm. The laxness of the raider's guards played a vital part in his ability to escape. It seems that should get some mention.

I had not imagined the raider was a sailing ship.

Great artwork. Looking forward to more.

The raider drew its inspiration from the SMS Seeadler, a windjammer that patrolled the Pacific during the war.
